Hi, Steven here, it's been almost a week since I last wrote this narrative. Let me paint you a picture of where I am. I am sitting at my desk, in my room on the second floor of my house I have… had, with Stacy. My room, like most rooms in the house, has a blue aesthetic. Dark blue pillows, light blue wallpaper and dark blue blankets. It’s been hard paying rent without her. My desk is situated against the window; my bed is next to it. All along the walls are my amenities, my dresser, closet, chest of drawers. My house is in a small residential area not far from the park. In the far distance, you can see the entrance to the horrible laboratory where everything went wrong.
I have had a long turbulent week, which included a run in with the authorities, a talk with Michael, and a visit to Stacy’s grave. It took me a while, but I finally have worked up the courage to continue on with my narrative. I tried to live a normal life, but it has not been easy in the slightest. I spoke with my father about all this, but he told me that it wasn’t my fault and that I was just curious. That wasn’t the answer I was hoping for. So, I spoke to Michael, but he just got mad at me again for what happened. I can’t say I blame him. The government put out a cover story to hide what truly happened to Michael’s face and… They said it was a gas explosion. BS, once again, they’re covering it up. The authorities are all being paid off by Malum Genetics. I know it, they just have to be.
Speaking of the authorities, they came by my house last night. In fact, that’s the reason I’ve decided to continue this narrative. I’m going to expose them all. I’m writing this now because the people need to know. They need to be aware of this despicable attempt to play God, and how the government and the authorities have been hiding this for months. When they came to my house, they asked me several questions, questions about what happened, questions about Michael and Stacy, then they ransacked my house, searching for anything that might have something to do with what they called, “My little excursion.” I can’t take these people anymore! I’m going to do something about it. I have to, there’s no other way. However, I need to finish this narrative before I can tell anyone about this. I just need some time to process, and this helps me with that. So, I guess here we go.
Michael, Stacy and I walked out a door and down a series of long narrow hallways. These corridors were not well lit and had a dark gray paint instead of white. The place reeked of death. As we continued walking, I turned to my friends. “What were they doing here, do you think?” I asked them. Michael rolled his eyes, “That doesn’t matter, what matters is getting out of here alive!” Yet we kept on walking, looking for an elevator, or a stairwell, or anything that could help us get out of this hellhole. “How on earth did they get their hands on mythical creatures only found in legend?” I asked, trying to break the awkward silence. “I don’t know, it's possible that they were genetic freaks of nature!” Stacy said glumly. “Oh great, huge snakes, what’s next? A dragon?” Michael asked sarcastically. “That would be scary!” Stacy murmured. I didn’t want to think about it, enormous fire breathing monsters living beneath our town. I couldn’t fathom the terror they would unleash on the world. In that instance, I vowed to kill everything in this laboratory. “Shh!” Stacy muttered, “Do you hear that?” We did hear that. A loud banging and screaming coming from a room nearby. “We should ignore it, we don’t know what’s down here!” Michael muttered. “What if it's someone trapped down here like us!” Stacy whispered, “We should investigate!” Stacy and I turned left, moving slowly towards the wailing sound. We rounded a corner to find a large room. The huge ceiling arched over us. At the other end of the room were a series of doors leading into cages. A leak had sprung from a pipe, creating a puddle on the ground. A woman was leaning over the puddle. “Hello?” Stacy asked. The woman stopped leaning over. She looked in our direction. And she slowly started moving towards us. I noticed something off about the way she moved. Slowly, from side to side. As if she was slithering. A thought struck me as she grew closer to us. She got closer and closer. “Hello?” Stacy asked again. I realized what this woman was, she wasn’t human, she was a… A gorgon came at us, hissing madly. Snake hair waving wildly! We ran for our lives as the horrible creature lunged at us. It slammed into the opposite wall as we sprinted down the corridor. The gorgon slithered after us, screaming and cackling wildly. Then she spoke in a horrible voice. “SO HUNGRY, GIVE ME YOUR BONES!” Michael led Stacy and I down a side corridor. We raced up a flight of stairs I hadn’t seen before. I led my friends through a hallway as the horrible monster pursued us, “Keep making turns, it’ll confuse her!” The three of us sprinted and made a series of sharp turns. After a while, we couldn’t hear her, so we thought we had lost her. I turned back and I didn’t see her. We stopped in a room labeled plumbing and slammed the door behind us.
“What is this place!” Stacy gasped. “Somewhere I never want to be in again!” Michael growled angrily. The three of us were just sitting there. After a while was when I asked the question, “How are we going to get out of here?” I asked everyone. Michael wasn’t happy with me due to us being stuck here, but he agreed that what we needed to be focusing on at the moment was escaping the laboratory. “Let's have a look around!” Stacy said, trying to ease the tension. We fanned out across the room, searching desperately for anything that might help us get out of here. The room we were currently in was a large room lined floor to ceiling with pipes. These pipes seemed to lead all over the laboratory. “You guys take a look at this!” That is what Stacy said to us, we raced over to where she was standing, she was looking up at the wall, where a map of the lab was imprinted. “Good find!” I exclaimed in excitement. “One small problem!” Michael said solemnly, “The main entrance was wrecked by that snake!” “But then look at this!” Stacy said, pointing to a pipe. “This pipe carries water into the huge pit we saw earlier. But then it goes up and…” “Out of the lab!” Michael and I cheered in unison. “So, if we can shut down the flow of water, we can climb out of the lab through the plumbing!” Stacy said in excitement! “Great! Let's find a way to stop the waterflow!” Michael said excitedly. We fanned out across the room and started to search for a valve or lever, anything that could shut down the water flow.
In the end, I was the one who found it. “I found a latch!” I called to them, Michael and Stacy sprinted over to where I was standing, I pulled hard, and the rushing sound all around us stopped. We congratulated each other on our accomplishments. Michael was the only one who noticed the banging sound coming from a pipe above us. We looked up to see something pounding on the gate. “RUN!” I yelled; we sprinted for the door and feverishly ripped down the barricade’s we had set up. The grate gave out and a Siren burst from the pipes. A horribly twisted human body, it had a fishtail and terrifying fangs. We tore down the barricades and saw the Gorgon on the other side. We were trapped between a Siren and a Gorgon. Stacy, Michael and I got ready for the end, however, the Siren and Gorgon started to attack each other. Feverishly ripping and clawing and tearing. The Siren grabbed the Gorgon in its mouth and began to rip the snakes out of her hair. We ran as snakes went flying everywhere. The Gorgon was able to break free of the Siren’s grip and seized the human fish abomination by the throat. The Gorgon sank its own teeth into the Siren’s throat. Ripping it clean out, blood dripping from its mouth, it turned and pursued us. We ran for our lives from the Gorgon as it chased us down and down the corridors. Eventually we ran into a long room lined with tables. Guessing it was a cafeteria, we saw a door at the other end. We split up, agreeing to meet at the door. I jumped onto the tables and started to jump between them. The Gorgon pursued me, I leaped and it threw tables and benches. Just barely missing me. The three of us ran into a large kitchen area and slammed the door. We looked around us, there was all the stuff you’d find in a kitchen. We armed ourselves with lighters and steak knives and prepared for battle. Bursting through the glass partition, the Gorgon ran at Stacy, who leapt aside at the last minute. The Gorgon turned and slithered after her. Stacy sprinted into a large walk-in oven at the other end of the room, which was still piled with wood and charcoal. The gorgon ran towards her; she climbed out of the oven and sidestepped the Gorgon. The Gorgon fell into the Pizza oven; Stacy threw a lit lighter into the oven and Michael and I slammed the doors. I winced at the sudden blast of heat. The Gorgon was screaming and wailing with pain, Stacy winced. Micahel and I pressed all our weight against the doors. After a painful minute, the wailing stopped, as did the banging on the door. We stood back, there was no sign of life inside the oven. Stacy turned, “Come on, we need to get out of here!”
That's where I am going to end part two of this narrative. I will finish this story at any time possible. However, the sun went down two hours ago and the urge to sleep has kicked in. So, I will sleep now and finish my story at a later date. Because right now, my nice warm bed looks extremely appealing.
